What is the Supreme Petroleum Council (SPC)?
The Supreme Petroleum Council (SPC) is the supreme body responsible for overseeing petroleum policies and strategic mandates in Abu Dhabi. Established under Law No. (1) of 1988, the SPC regulates activities pertaining to Petroleum as well as ADNOC’s (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) oversight.
SPC approval is required for any business wishing to work directly with ADNOC or participate in any activity involving Onshore and Offshore Oil & Gas Field & Facilities Services. Without this, companies may not bid for contracts or supply goods/services to this industry.
